Our Partnership: Serving Those Who Served
The success of the Kansas City Fisher House is made possible through a strong, collaborative partnership between the Greater Kansas City Friends of Fisher House, Fisher House Foundation, and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
The Fisher House Foundation provides the national framework and funding to build these comfort homes near VA medical centers, while the Department of Veterans Affairs operates and maintains the facility, ensuring families receive world-class hospitality and care during a medical crisis.
Locally, the Greater Kansas City Friends of Fisher House plays a vital role by raising funds, coordinating volunteers, and providing ongoing support for the families staying at the Kansas City Fisher House. Together, we ensure that veterans and their loved ones have a place to stay, free of charge, filled with compassion, dignity, and community.
